11th Tribeca Film Festival Annoucement

The 11th Tribeca Film Festival (TFF 2012) presented by founding partner American Express (AMEX) will be held in New York theatres, April 18 – 29, 2012. The festival founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff annually presents the largest celebration of film, music, and culture. This year’s festival will showcase over 70 films (narrative, documentary, shorts) from all around the world. The festival includes opening and closing premieres, gala receptions, panel discussions, awards ceremony, special events, and free community events (Tribeca Drive-In , Family Festival Street Fair, Tribeca/ESPN Sports Day).
The 3rd Tribeca Online Film Festival (TOFF 2012), free live web streaming of TFF 2012 select features, shorts, and real-time festival events is available to U.S. online audiences. This year’s TOFF 2012 will include 4 world premieres, 5 shorts, and special events. TOFF 2012 reservation begins April 10 (AMEX card members) and April 16 (general public).

OPENING NIGHT
TFF 2012 Opening Night World Premiere of The Five-Year Engagement, directed by Nicholas Stoller will be held at the Ziegfeld Theatre, Wednesday, April 18, 7:30pm (Opens U.S. & U.K. theatres April 27, 2012 ).
CLOSING NIGHT
TFF 2012 Closing Night Premiere of The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon will be held at BMCC Tribeca PAC, Saturday, April 28, 6:00pm (Opens Nationwide May 4, 2012).
