Catania, Ragusa, Sirakuza, Taormino... A chain of ancient places at the foundation of the Vezuvius volcano. I found myself there in the year 2014, being in tight connection with my protagonist Anna Akhmatova who received her prize there at her old age. The barelief devoted to Akmatova was opened only a month after I had left those locations, for my homeland. Barocco of Ibla, Sicilia is relative to the barocco temples of my homeplace Moscow... Via Scale also reminds me towns in mountains... San Giorgio looks exactly like Peter-and-Paul Cathedral in Petersburg, when watched from afar...

Malta was called, at my presence, by hilarious local population, a place between Vecchia Napoli and Kairo. I met there Lybian refugees and merchants from Marocco. The Gabez Bay was laying about...
