The cute cartoon Pinocchio only has to wish upon a star for all of his dreams to come true. His dad is picturesque; the naughty Fox and Cat cause all of his problems; and a fashionable bug suggests he not be too mischievous. A pretty good blue fairy crowns the cast of the popular version of this beloved children’s fairy tale (grown-ups don’t tell lies, aren’t ever lazy or disrespectful and never desire a life of idle pleasure, a life free from tiresome lessons on greed and gluttony... which explains why you seldom see grown-ups who are donkeys).
