We are so excited to inform you that we have just launched the Pittsburgh Horror Film Festival! The Pittsburgh Horror
Film Festival intends to provide a stage for all film makers to display their
work.
With four separate
screening rooms running simultaneously for 48 hours, the festival will
show a
minimum of one hundred films over the course of the weekend of June
3-5th 2011 at the Monroeville Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA. This
allows us to
give more film makers an opportunity to have their work appear on the
program. Our goal is to provide
exposure for more films and filmmakers than any other festival of this
kind. While we will feature the
horror genre, films from other genres that are submitted will be given
equal
consideration for placement on the program.
Submissions are
open for Features, Shorts, and Screenplays. All prizes and awards start
with at least $500 CASH and a unique film festival TROPHY.
We also have room for vendors!! Our 10x10 spaces start at $100 for the ENTIRE weekend!
So please look over the materials and lets get the ball rolling! We welcome any participation such as interviewing, featuring, or writing about
the Pittsburgh Horror Film Festival. The following press release, banner, and promo add is attached. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Not
interested in submitting, vending, or featuring? Attend the event for
one day for $20 or 48 HOURS for $30! Hotel discounts also apply.

Saturday, November 4---Following the triumphant screening of the Festival Centerpiece Film PITTSBURGH last evening at the Parker Playhouse, Online Festival Dailies Editor Sandy Mandelberger sat down with Chris Bradley, the co-director and co-cinematographer of the entertaining mockumentary, in the lounge of the official Festival hotel, the Gallery One Doubletree Suites.

Friday, November 3----The theater was packed on Friday evening at the historic Parker Playhouse for the highly anticipated Festival Centerpiece Film, PITTSBURGH, a deliciously funny mockumentary that spotlighted the comic sensibility of actor Jeff Goldblum. Although the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (affectionately known as FLIFF) has been showing films for more than two weeks now, it is the next 10 days that are the meatiest, with the addition of the Parker Playhouse and the La...
Friday, November 3-----The spotlight is on the noted actor Jeff Goldblum this evening as the Festival presents its Centerpiece Film, PITTSBURGH, tonight at 7:45pm at the historic Parker Playhouse. The film is a rollicking mockumentary of Goldblum's decision to take a breather from his active Hollywood career to take up the lead role of Professor Harold Hill in a low-budget local theater production of THE MUSIC MAN, in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA.
The circumstances of what led him to this ...
