I remember from the time i was a distributor (Sony then UGC FOX managing director) working on international box office figures of the film I released (Alice, Manhattan Murder Myster, Husbands and Wives and Shadows and Light) that the french Box Office was higher than the US domestic gross or the International rest of the world.
