Returning to the International Pavilion this year is capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Abu Dhabi. The pavilion is being co-hosted by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH), the Abu Dhabi Film Commission (ADFC), the Abu Dhabi Film Festival, Imagenation Abu Dhabi and industry services company twofour54. The main goal of this pavilion is to present to filmmakers the idea of Abu Dhabi as a beneficial film location and source of coproductions, as well as bring attention to the wealth of talent and companies found there. As reported by "Cannes Market News" ADFC director David Shepheard says, "Being present in the International Village gives us an opportunity to meet filmmakers from all over the world, to promote the current facilities and talent we have and to share our objectives for the future." The Pavilion will also be a way for UAE filmmakers to showcase their films, 7 of which are being supported by the ADFC this year. In Cannes the UAE will also be present in the Short Film Corner where they will be supporting some of their up-and-coming filmmakers under "Shorts from the UAE." The Abu Dhabi Pavilion can be found at Pavilion 139 in the International Villiage.
