Poppy Jasper Short Film Festival

The Poppy Jasper Short Film Festival invites you to submit your film to our Withoutabox website (www.withoutabox.com) for competition in our seventh annual festival.  Our San Francisco Bay Area-based festival honors the vibrant film talent that creates short films (30 minutes or less). MovieMaker magazine last year called the Poppy Jasper Film Festival “one of the top 25” in the country for its focus on filmmaker experience. Two new special awards have been added to this year’s film festival:·         “The Alice Guy Blaché Women’s Filmmaker Award” will be given to the best short film produced by a woman filmmaker (Alice Guy Blaché was first woman film director)·“The Bay Area Movie Magic Award”will be given to the best film produced by a San Francisco Bay Area filmmaker. This is the last call for film submissions for our May 31 deadline.
