Monday, October 29----------Since the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival always falls over the Halloween holiday, the Festival makes a special effort to involve youngsters and those young at heart with special film programs to celebrate the Halloween horrors. On Wednesday evening at the Cinema Paradiso,, the festivities begins with a late night double feature. First up is FEAST, the film that emerged from the HBO Project Greenlight. In this gore-rama, humans keep trying to outwit nasty creatures with ever escalating plans, with only one goal in mind: survival.
Then the crowds will assemble for the musical horror fest classic THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW. This holiday classic, the most profitable midnight movie ever made, follows the misadventures of Brad and Janet as the stumble upon the strange goings on at the Frankenstein Mansion. Audiences that have seen the film dozens and dozens of times will be able to repeat the screamingly funny dialogue and to sing along with "that sweet transvestite from Transylvania". The screening features a live cast and pre-show, with audience members expected to dress up as their favorite characters for a costume contest. Audiences will be partying late into the midnight hour at the Cinema Paradiso.
