New Tallinn Storytek initiative brings creativity, tech and finance together

Storytek Forum is a one-day inspirational brainstorming and discussion forum at Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event with top business experts explaining the secrets of digital marketing, financing, production and sales in the global content business - film, games, merchandising, mobile, publishing, design, VR and AR.
 
The conference explains through case studies and inspirational fireside chats how to develop a creative idea or business to an international success story and what steps producers should take for a breakthrough in the intellectual property business, hailed as the next big thing globally.
 
How do you get your product out in an increasingly globalized, digitalized, polarized and customized world? How do you fund your idea, startup or production? Which are the new business models and success cases? These are some topics to be explored by a wide range of speakers, including PR & Marketing executive of Sony Pictures Entertainment Pam Rodi; Call of Duty talent director & VR visionary Keith Arem; crowdfunding and crowdfinancing pioneer of the Iron Sky franchise Tero Kaukomaa; digital brand & startup strategist, TED resident & open data expert Laura-Anne Edwards; media and film compliance executive Rob Aft; digital content integrator of iTunes & Google Play and Co-Chair of America's Electronic Merchants Association Mitch Mallon; the partner of Singapore's most recent global media fund, Gin Kai Chan; and Jennifer Jao, the director of Taipei Film Commission, with many recent success stories to present, from Luc Besson’s "Lucy" to Martin Scorsese's anticipated “Silence”.

The Forum is also a kick off for Storytek IP & startups accelerator - a financing and business development bootcamp for global storytellers to be started in 2017 by Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.

Storytek is part of the Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event Lab section which is about linking technology, film, games and investors, developing content for future platforms, and training tomorrow's talents.

The Storytek Forum is organised by Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event in partnership with regional investment venture Head Capital and with the support of European Regional Development Fund and Estonian Ministry of Culture.
