9th Edition of the International Training for Cinema Exhibition Professionals :
40 tutors, 20 nationalities, 2 festivals and 60 participants for 7 days of conferences, case studies, workshops and film screenings.
The training is organized by the CICAE in the framework of the MEDIA Program of the European Union.
Are you a young professional aspiring to become a film programmer or a cinema manager?
Are you already a film programmer or an arthouse cinema theatre manager and searching for a specialized course to tackle the challenges of your profession?
The CICAE (International Confederation of Art Cinemas) offers the first international training program designed for arthouse cinema theatre managers and their assistants.
The 2012 edition will be composed of two parts:
JUNIOR SESSION
27 August - 2 September 2012
The training consists of an intensive 7 day residential course, with lectures about the European film market, case studies, workshops and film screenings.
This course is designed for managers, assistant managers and those at the start of their career.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
27- 31 August 2012
The training consists of an intensive 5 day residential course, composed of lectures, case studies, and round tables and debates on current events in the cinema industry.
This training is specifically designed for cinema managers or professionals with a strong background in the industry.
FEES AND SCHOLARSHIPS
• Full fees : 1400 € for Junior session and 800 € for executive session
• 2/3will of candidates will receive a CICAE scholarship and travel grant (half ticket)
Rebate for shared room (2 single beds, same gender)
Fees include : accommodation; breakfast, lunch, refreshments and social evenings on the San Servolo Island in Venice.
All participants will receive accreditation for the Venice Film Festival and for the Circuito Off Short Film Fest.
Whichever level you undertake, this training will allow you to:
