Copenhagen International Film Festival launched THE COPENHAGEN SCREENINGS
OF BRAND NEW DANISH FILMS
August 23rd - 24th 2005
Exclusively for worldwide film buyers and festival programmers.
The 1st Copenhagen Screenings
In August 2005 Copenhagen International Film Festival will host the first Copenhagen Screenings; two days of professional screenings of the latest Danish films. The films will not yet have opened in Denmark and not been screened in any other festivals.
Participation in the Copenhagen Screenings is free of charge for the invited professionals.
There will be no admittance for the press or public and only a few of the films will be shown as part of the Film Festival programme.
The Copenhagen Screenings are organised by Copenhagen International Film Festival together with the Festival department at the Danish Film Institute in collaboration with Trust Film Sales and Nordisk Film International Sales.
The Film Programme
The programme will introduce roughly 10 brand new Danish feature films (with English subtitles), as well as feature film length documentaries, promos and work-in-progress footage. The full screening schedule will be available later and sent directly to the participants from mid July.
All films are screened twice and the screenings will take place during the festival from the morning of August 23rd until the afternoon of August 24th.
Participation
The participants are invited to stay at the four-star festival hotel Palace and could ideally arrive in the evening of Monday, August 22nd, where Zentropa will host an informal barbeque. On August 24th Nordisk Film will host a luncheon for the participants in their 1906 studios.
The Danish producers, the Danish Film Institute’s festival department staff and the sales companies will be present during the screenings and provide further information concerning the films.
