TRIBECA UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL
April 27- May 1 2005
TRIBECA UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL is celebrating its second year.
Over the course of four nights 39 short films from around the world.
will be screened including narratives, documentaries, experimental and
animation.
Screenings will be held from APRIL 27th to APRIL 30th on the ground
floor of TRIBECA's historic ICE HOUSE building with the AWARDS CEREMONY
on May 1st at the TRIBUTE screening room and event space, and a special
ANIMATION AWARDS PARTY on April 30th from 9:30 to Midnight at DEKK's
underground location also in Tribeca of course.
Laurence Asseraf founder and Director of the festival secured a new
location due to the growing interest in the event and the Short Film
Screening Series that she started last September. Asseraf decided to
rename the festival and to expand its scope, offering film events
throughout the year, and creating a community for short filmmakers and
film connoisseurs. TRIBECA UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL outgrew its birth
place at "a taste of art" gallery on Duane St and deserved a larger
space of its own.
