The long awaited "Trilogia: To livadi pou" by Theo Angelopoulos was shown February 13 at the Berlinale, a film expected at Cannes and Venice this year. Angelopoulos waited for overcast days to convey a special mood to his film which caused the delay. Despite the anticipation, the film turned out to be a sobering effect in this epic narrative,a finely tuned visual experience. The odyssey transpires from 1919 to 1949 when Eleni and Alexis are forced to flee Odessa to Greece as children where they later come to experience both World War II and civil war.
