Sadaf Foroughi is an Iranian born filmmaker and video artist who is living and working in Montreal. Since 2004 she has been involved in the production of many documentaries, short films and video art pieces that have been screened in different venues around the world. She holds a master's degree in French Literature from Azad University of Tehran. She graduated with an MA in Film Studies from University of Provence Aix-Marseille I. She also has a degree in Film Production from New York Film Academy. In 2005, she participated in the Berlinale Talent Campus with her one-minute video, Une Impression. Her award winning short documentary film, Feminine, Masculine, has been screened at many international festivals, such as Berlinale, and also been commercially distributed in Europe. Her successful short narrative film, The Last Scene, has been recently awarded as the best short film of Montreal WIFT (Women In Film and Television) short film contest in 2011. Sadaf is currently an honored member of WIFT. She is now working on her feature-film debut.
