*The Beaver* is a film about how a millionaire who's suffering from depression tries to get better with the help of a "talking" beaver. The film stars Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson.
At the press conference, the actress/director of the movie Jodie Foster, writer kyle killen, and producer Keith Redmon were present. Since Jodie Foster can speak fluent French, she was kind enough to do the press conference in both French and English.
She talked about the inspiration of the movie, the making of the movie and the what does this movie represent in her life. Inevitably, she was asked about the "in"famous actor of the movie Mel Gibson, but she emphasized that even though she has been a good friend of Mel for a long time, Mel is the person to be responsible for his own behavior. However, she said that she thinks that this movie may help him through the hard time he's been going through.
When questioned about the not-so-good review of the movie in North America, she answered by saying this movie is apparently not for everyone, and the film would fail if the director tries too hard to satisfy viewers' interest.
