25th Annual Goya Awards
Balada Triste de Trompeta directed by Alex de la Iglesia - President of The Spanish Film Academy - has obtained 15 nominations at this year's Goya awards.
Second and up to 14 nominations Agustí Villaronga´s, Pa Negre followed by También la Lluvia,directed by Iciar Bollaín and the Spanish option to next Oscars,with 13 nominations and Buried with 10.There are the films with the most nominations.
To win Best Actor Goya Award,Javier Bardem will need to "fight" against last year´s Goya winner Luis Tosar,Canadian Ryan Reynols and Antonio de la Torre.
In competition for the BEST EUROPEAN FILM : The Writer,The King´s Speech,Das Weisse Band, Un prophète.
There is only one person not to be nervous and this is Mario Camus who will receive the honorary Goya Award to a life dedicated to the cinema.
The Spanish statuettes, small bronze busts of the artist Francisco de Goya, will be handed out to winners on February 13th.Being such an special edition,the 25th, the ceremony will take place at the Teatro Real in Madrid.
Next date with the Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España (Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences) on January 22nd,at its traditional reception to honor the nominees.
