Once again you have a whole lot of goodness coming your way at Slovenian most extreme film and wine extravaganza, Grossmann Festival in Ljutomer!
There will be a Q&A session with Uwe Boll at the City Cinema at 19:30h, hosted by our Slak's Vicious Cats Jury member Alin Ludu Dumbrava, film critic from Transylvania! Open Air Cinema will also be in the sign of the controversial German director. After the documentary Raging Boll at 21:00h you will be able to see his adrenaline-ridden and gore-drenched action thriller Rampage at 23:00h. Both films will of course also be announced by the author.
Today you shall also be graced by the first appearance of our lifetime achievement award receiver Jose Mojica Marins. He will personally announce the second Coffin Joe film This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse at 21:30h at the Culture House Cinema. He will be accompanied by his daughter Mariliz, also known for her vampire alter ego Lizvamp which is appearing in numerous comics and films in their native Brazil.
Uwe Boll fans will already be able to their first dose at 17:30 at the Culture House Cinema, where there will be a screening of his war drama Darfur. It will be followed by the documentary Darfur: War for Water at 19:30h. Author Tomo Križnar will also visit us and share with us some information on the ongoing tragedy in this Sudanese region.
On its fourth live Grossmann edition, cult Serbian TV show Shock Corridor and its host Nenad Bekvalac will take you to the bizzare world of shockumentaries at 23:00h in the City Cinema.Already at 15:30h you will also be able to see the 2nd batch of the short films in competition (Felix, E-pigs, Fužine Neighborhood, Stay, Magic Chest 2, Vinny Vino, Pulz) and Boye: The First Real Female Sound and Sevdah from our music documentary competition at 17:30h. This will be followed by the 3rd batch of Slak's Vicious Cats (Evening Fairytale, Brickloader, Spa, Tropezones, Lutz Heckelmann, Bititsch, First Day at Work, Day of the Dead, Babylon 2084). At the Cinema Hotel Jeruzalem at 21:00h there will be screenings of this year's candidates for the Noisy Cat Such Hawks Such Hounds and Kuzle.
Of course there will also be a fiery concert at bar Klub at 21:30. Under the name of Monsters of Lotmerk you will be able to see six bands from Ljutomer: Odpisani, Obnounce, Kanalizacija 3, Cypher Louis, Broken Trigger and Stream. Rejoice in the vicous celebration!
