More than 325 short films were submitted to the ninth annual Tallgrass Film Festival. Of those, 58 came from Kansas filmmakers and 48 from high school filmmakers from around the globe. A very different film festival took place in Los Angeles last night with cinema buffs huddled around cell phones rather than gazing up at the big screen to view and vote for their favorite short movie.
