MPA APSA FILM FUND 2012 GRANT RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED
Projects from Australia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Israel and Turkey
The Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) has announced the four successful projects to be awarded development grants of US$25,000 in the 2012 MPA (Motion Picture Association) APSA Academy Film Fund. Established in 2010, the fund is intended to stimulate film production in Asia Pacific.

the preservation of the different expressions that make up the inestimable
heritage of cultural diversity”.
The 8th edition will start the 23rd of April 2013 and
will last until the 27th. In the past edition we screened 77 films and awarded 35 prizes. The participants were 697 from 45
nations.

The official programme of the 16th Sofia International Film Festival
will end tonight with the gala screening of Borislav Kolev's
documentary debut Stoichkov.

Where is My Mother Tongue?, in the National Competition, is
the first film by Veli Kahraman who worked as art director for many
films in the sector. Kahraman’s parents play themselves in the film
which follows the Zazaki language threatened with extinction, and
resists use of language as a political tool.
