"Developing Your Film Festival" training course

We are delighted to announce the first ICO Developing Your Film Festival course. With the support of the MEDIA Programme, this course will bring together film festival professionals from across Europe to expand their skills and knowledge and foster collaboration.

 

Who is it for? 

 

Staff of medium sized film festivals from across Europe working in management, programming, marketing, audience development, fundraising, administration or freelance roles. The course is also open to staff of support or funding agencies working with film festivals.

  • Online marketing and audience engagement

  • Sustainable development and strategic planning

The training will run over three days followed by two days of screenings and networking at the Motovun Film Festival in Croatia.

 

Fees and scholarships

 

  • Full fees - €495 / £511.38*
  • Part Scholarship - €355 / £366.74*
  • Full Scholarship - €200 / £206.62* (priority new EU Member States and Croatia)
  • South West Screen Scholarship - £111.38* (one place for a film festival from the South West of England)

There are also 10 travel scholarships of up to €100 / £86.09 each available. Priority is to EU new Member States, but applicants from other countries will also be considered. Fees include 3 days' training, 2 days' festival screenings; accreditation for Motovun Film Festival; 6 nights' accomodation; airport transfer; breakfast, lunch and refreshments; social evenings. *Sterling rates include VAT.

Please download the Course application form, save it to your computer, fill it in and email it to beckyc@independentcinemaoffice.org.uk. The deadline for applications is Friday 6 May 2011. We will let you know as soon as we can whether your application has been accepted. If any places remain after this deadline, new applications will then be assessed on a rolling basis.
