IN THE PALACE is an International festival dedicated to short films under 45 minutes in length. It is held annualy
in the late June in the Black Sea town of Balchik. Established in 2003,
the festival had grown from a competitive forum for student films into
the largest and most prestigious short film festival in Bulgaria and the
region.
Besides the annual film competition programmes, In The Palace is
accompanied by several parallel events, special screenings, build-in
workshops, trainings and master classes, and includes a film industry
market section.
AIM brings together the most innovative projects generated by the new media field. The only criteria for submission is that works be time-based. Time-based includes: film, video, animation, sound, CD-ROM, urls, installation – all hybrids welcome.
