A great and dense meeting of filmmakers from all over the world discussing new innovative world cinema and, most pressing, pan-Arabic cinema including new trans-media, 3D, changes in narrative cinema, independent and studio cinema- well, frankly just about everything in modern cinema was discussed. This conference in my book was the highlight of the ADFF, much more than the shock and awe of the glitzyglam festival itself, which was beautiful I must say and did leave all with mouths agape...
