Short Shorts Film Festival (formerly known as the American Short Shorts
Film Festival) was established in Harajuku, Tokyo in 1999, with an aim
to introduce Japanese audiences to the world of short films. The
Festival organizes national tours around Japan, gathering more than
150,000 people in the audience. In addition to these national tours,
the Short Shorts Film Festival (SSFF) has toured in LA, Singapore,
Myanmar, and Mexico establishing itself as a unique, Japanese-born film
festival showcased worldwide. In 2004, SSFF was recognized by the
Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science as a qualifying festival in
the short film category for the annual Academy Award®.
In 2010, we will celebrate 12th festival!!
The festival is an international video competition sponsored by Victor Company of Japan. The festival was started in 1978.
Over 30,000 video works from 83 countries have been submitted.

Design Festa is a freestyle international Art Event open to all artists. The event will span several areas: performance, live music, film screening in the Mini-Theater Space, and a special Dimmed Lighting Booth Area.
