This is the time of year where Views of America is feeling generous, long before christmas and long after Eid hollyday for our Muslim fans.

Our yearly film contest is open (this year, it's only for tunisian film makers; sorry worldwide fans).

The
contest is open to students enrolled in Tunisian universities and/or young
Tunisians under 30 years old on December 31, 2009. The contestants must present
a film that will treat in a personal, original and light way the following
theme: « TUNISIA 2029, your
vision of Tunisia in 20 years »

The
submitted entries must obey the following criteria:

• Three to six minutes duration
• Filmed in any video format (digital,
  VHS, cell phone, Super8, animation etc.)
• Final product must be on DVD
  

The
film contest results will be communicated to the participants and the public in
the month of November, during the 2nd edition of the Tunis Independent
American Cinema Encounters that will be held on 19, 20 et 21 November 2009. Ten
films will be selected and different prizes will be awarded to the film
directors:

• 1st, 2nd, 3d place – An all
  expenses paid trip to New York city in Mid-December 2009
• 4th to 10th place – Digital
  video cameras and other prizes

The
deadline for submitting films is Friday 13
November 2009 at 5PM. All entries must  include a technical sheet mentioning the film
title, its duration, the director’s name and contact and a copy of his/her
national ID card and must be mailed or hand delivered at the following address:
