LUCKY YOU Premieres At Tribeca FF

Wednesday, May 2-----The Tribeca Film Festival hosted the World Premiere of the romantic drama LUCKY YOU, directed by Curtis Hanson, last night in advance of its theatrical opening on Friday. The film, a Warner Bros. Pictures presentation, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, stars Eric Bana, Drew Barrymore, Robert Duvall and Debra Messing. The crowds were large as one of the more anticipated red carpet arrivals of the Festival unfurled under a beautiful and (finally) warm Spring evening.

The film, which was shot almost two years ago and has had its opening release delayed several times, is the latest project from Hanson, whose previous films include L.A. CONFIDENTIAL, WONDER BOYS and 8 MILE. This time Hanson spins a yarn about human relationships set in the high-stakes world of Las Vegas.  The story centers on a young singer (Drew Barrymore) with more heart than talent who falls for an experienced poker player (Eric Bana), whose emotions at the table often undermine his exceptional skill. Veteran actor Robert Duvall chews the scenery as Bana's father, a legendary poker ace. Directed by Curtis Hanson from a screenplay by Eric Roth, LUCKY YOU is produced by Denise Di Novi, Curtis Hanson and Carol Fenelon
