RUSHLIGHTS
When a friend dies suddenly of a drug overdose, Billy and Sarah, two delinquent young lovers from the suburbs of Los Angeles, seize the opportunity and travel to a small Texas town to falsely claim her inheritance. At first the hustle appears to be developing according to plan. Cameron Brodgen, the attorney representing the estate, is a courteous southern gentleman. He accepts Sarah's identification and even offers to help her expedite matters. Enter Sheriff Brodgen, the local lawman, who just happens to be the lawyer's older brother. He isn't as accomodating. He confronts the young "strangers" with a host of suspicions. To make matters worse, questions are raised about just how Zackary Niles, the owner of of the estate, really died. Rummaging through Niles’ large mansion, the youngsters discover that the inheritance has plenty more family strings attached then originally thought. It appears that almost everybody in town has some kind of stake in the succession of the Niles fortune. The young grifters know that time is of the essence and the discovery of foul play delays their claim. Sarah and Billy realize they have to start covering their tracks...
