Our Executive Director, Jon Fitzgerald, was the co-founder and former executive director of Slamdance, AFI Fest, Santa Barbara and Abu Dhabi film festivals among others. In addition, he launched CineCause, a philanthropic platform, connecting socially relevant films to related causes.

“I remember getting a call from Carlos, the festival founder, saying that he wanted to show my first film in the digital showcase. It was a huge deal for me. Some people dream of Sundance and other festivals. For me, with the size of this movie, it just felt like some validation that somebody outside of Memphis saw it and appreciated it. It was a fantastic experience. Probably one of the best of my life,” said director Craig Brewer (Footloose, Hustle and Flow)

With film presentations taking place in the heart of Hollywood, the Festival presents a valuable screening platform for independent filmmakers, while providing for access to the studios and industry at large. The 2013 event will take this concept to the next level, presenting a unique networking program with“**HOLLYWOOD NETWORK® INITIATIVE.” Once again the Hollywood Film Festival will take place at the state of the art ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood.** Subject to executives availability.
