 hosted Dominique Blanc, one of the most acknowledged French actresses of today. As a winner of Cesar Award, this remarkable woman presented herself with two newest films “The Other One”( ”L’Autre”) and “One Day You Will Understand” (”Plus tard, tu comprendras”). For her latest film “The Other One” Blanc won the Volpi Cup Award at the Venice Film Festival. The award was taken for character of Anne-Marie, where Blanc  reveals an amazing world of one 40 and some years old woman.

Anna-Marie after a fruitful relationship leaves Alex, a younger man, for no reason at all “in order to protect her freedom”. After casual split up, they continue to see each other. But Anna Marie finds out that Alex has another woman and she finds herself madly jealous at her. Her perfect modern world gets to be broken and she sinks into a subconscious world full of signals and threats. Well, this is truly wonderful film.  

Dominique Blanc also presented herself with play “The Pain” by Marguerite Duras’ Diary. And more to it, in cooperation with Thierry Thieu Niang Patrice Chereau here creates a show for his, indeed, favorite enchanting Dominique Blanc. In this play, Blanc interpreted one of the most moving texts in history of post war literature, the diary of Marqurite Duras. Duras here dedicates her life to endless and painful waiting for her husband’s liberation from the Nazi concentration camp. HIn the play, Dominique Blanc bare silence, sighs, the simplicity and intensity of Marguerite Duras’ drama.  Marguerite Duras, during II World War really lived in hope for her husband to come back from the concentration camp. And during that period she, as a member of Resistance and writer, wrote lucid, amazing and desperate diary entries. In that period Duras for public edited newspapers, but diary entries she used as an inspiration later on. These are stories and parts of diary that Duras summed up under the title”The Pain”. ”The Pain” is autobiography and a journal of anticipation, filled with fears, desperation and shame, while she waited for Robert Antelm’s return. Robert came back from the concentration camp alive and unrecognizable, in a body in which life no longer has its weight, half dead, only flash and bones, starved to death for years.
