HKIFFS

The call for entries for the 38^th  Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) has been started.  Organised by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society (HKIFFS), the 38^th HKIFF will be held from 24 March to 7 April 2014.

HKIFF is Asia’s oldest international film festival and a major platform for world cinema.  Its programme comprises features, documentaries, shorts and animations divided into 6 sections.  From July 15 to 31 December, 2013, the 38^th HKIFF will accept submissions for its 6 sections:

Young Cinema Competition - open to filmmakers with their first, second or third features with cash prizes awarded by jury

Documentary Competition - open to documentaries running 60 minutes or longer with cash prizes awarded by jury

Short Film Competition -  Open to all films under 15 minutes duration with cash prizes awarded by jury

1. Global Vision -  new works including special programmes and tributes
2.  
3. Indie Power - new independent and avant-garde works
4.  
5. Reality Bites - new documentaries
