Introduction by Wayne Clarkson - Telefilm Canada, Executive Director

For the third consecutive year, Future of Cinema Salon presents an international roundtable of innovators engaged in changing the way we make, market, distribute, see and think about films. With the video revolution on the web underway, 3D cinema garnering audiences, and interactivity migrating from games to films, this panel promises to be a spirited discussion about how we need to adapt to the changes being forced upon us by not only technology but our very own audiences.

Get Your Hands on The Future Of Cinema

See first hand how an interactive film works. Based on the groundbreaking interface model co-created by Lars von Trier in 2000, Late Fragment is an interactive film that lets audiences piece together, both literally and figuratively, the cinematic narrative in front of them. Late Fragment is like many of the non-linear movies we have come to love including Crash, Short Cuts, and Amores Perros. But with Late Fragment audiences now impact what scene they may get next.
