The actress April Pearson arrived in Oporto today, playing one of the main roles in the British youth series "Skins", which was extremely successful throughout Europe between 2007 and 2013 and became a cult series for the generation of "teenagers" of that time .
"Skins" was a British drama series that accompanied the lives of a group of teenagers in their late high school years in Bristol, South West England with their controversial stories, exploring issues such as dysfunctional families, mental disorder (such as eating disorders ), Sexuality in adolescence, drug abuse, and death.
April Pearson starred in "Skins" with actors such as Dev Patel, nominated for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2017 and Nicholas Hoult, better known as "Beast," in the X-Men and Nux movies in the movie "Mad Max: Fury Road. "
April Pearson is part of the delegation that comes to present in Fantasporto the film "Caught" (2017), by Jamie Patterson, in a world premiere, of which the British actress is the protagonist. This film is in competition in Fantasporto in the section "Fantastic Cinema".
Jamie Patterson, born in 1986 in Brighton, England, is co-founder of Jump Start Productions. With a great deal of experience in various fields of the film industry, Jamie Patterson has been primarily a scriptwriter and filmmaker. His films include the multi-award-winning "City of Dreamers" (2012) and "Daisy" (2011), widely praised by critics.
