The New York AIDS Film Festival was awarded a GOLDEN GRAAL ( Italian "Oscars" given by young people to entertainment industry) award in Rome on May 31st 2007. Executive Director Suzanne Engo was accompanied by HRH Prince Emanuele Filiberto Di Savoia who attended with Ms Engo to draw attention to the award and the work of the Film Festival which celebrates it's 5th Birthday this year. The two were introduced by President of the New York AIDS Film Festival board, Italian Supermodel Greta Cavazzoni who has been instrumental in the festivals international expansion strategy.

The event will be televised on RAI UNO June 9th. Suzanne Engo accepted her award and as she walked on stage an instrumental version of NEW YORK , NEW YORK played. Engo accepted the award speaking in Italian, the award closed the evenings ceremonies which also included awards to Actress Asia Argento and 2007 Oscar winner Ennio Morricone.

Ms Engo was also a special guest of the Prince last week in Vienna where he participated in LIFE BALL Europe's largest AIDS Fundraising event. The Prince will also serve as an MC at the 2007 NYAFF RED BALL. Past Golden Graal recipients include Penelope Cruz and Joshua Jackson. NYAFF will celebrate it's 5 th Anniversary with celebrity guests such as Ashley Judd and Maggie Rizer who Engo costars in a documentary with ( MAGGIE & ME) of which footage from the Roman event will be included.
