July 30, 2020 is th efinal deadline to submit film to the 19th edition of the RIFF - Rome Independent Film Festival - to be held from November 27 to December 3 in Rome.
All information to register and the announcement are available on the website www.riff.it.
The RIFF offers filmmakers from all over the world the opportunity to preview original films in Italy. In particular, the New Frontiers section, which collects and presents first and second feature films, gives specific importance to Italian production and will be an opportunity to meet and discover new cinematographic talents. The festival also continues with the mission of making the competing films known and distributed. For the winners, in fact, there will be a dedicated programming at the Nuovo Cinema Aquila in Rome.
The works selected for the competition will be over 120. In the 2019 edition, over two thousand films, files and DVDs from more than 50 countries were sent to the Festival.
The 7 COMPETITIVE sections:
Feature Films (Italian and international feature film / first and second films);
Documentary Films (Italian and international);
Short Films (Italian and international);
International Student Films (film schools);
Animation (animation);
Screenplays & Subject (screenplays & subjects);
The RIFF 2020 program will be enriched by retrospectives and seminars that will address various aspects of indie cinematography. At the end of the Festival the RIFF Awards will be awarded for a value of over 30,000 Euros. The RIFF - Rome Independent Film Festival, conceived and directed by Fabrizio Ferrari, is realized with the contribution and sponsorship of the Directorate General for Cinema - Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, of the Department of Culture and Youth Policies of the Lazio Region ; is promoted and supported by Roma Capitale, Cultural Growth Department.
The Rome Independent Film Festival (RIFF) is Italy 's first independent and international film festival. Its aim is to unite enthusiasm for films and filmmaking among young filmmakers with the realities of film production and distribution.Since its first edition in 2001, RIFF has become an event that is followed with more and more interest by the public in Rome and a reference for worldwide filmmakers. In these years, the Riff has received works coming from the 5 continents, ending up being an attentive witness

Rules & Terms
Eligibility: 1. Films must have been completed after June 2019. The Jury * All awards will be split equally between the director and the production company of the film as shown in the credits. * DCP or file HD (and/or Blu-Ray or DV Master) to be received within 2 weeks of the event. Additional press kits, including B & W or color photos of cast and crew (on cd) 2 or more posters Invitation and Attendance
