DOK21_Motivbanner_1920x1080.png

Dear friends of DOK.fest München,

the time has come: we are thrilled to present the film programme of DOK.fest München 2021 @home to you today. At the same time, we are opening our advance ticket sales. From now on you can buy tickets for the festival.

To get you in the mood for the upcoming festival, today we take a look behind the scenes and introduce you to our festival studio at the Deutsches Theater as well as our technical partner.

Only a few more days until the opening – we are already looking forward to seeing you.

Our film programme is online: presale starts

131 films from 43 countries: We invite you to 18 days of film festival in your home – with a selection of the best socially relevant and artistically outstanding documentaries of the year. In our competitions we present the highlights of international filmmaking, in the programme sections we present current discoveries, festival highlights and documentary classics. Browse the programme now!

As of now, we are also opening our advance ticket sales for you. You can purchase a single ticket as well as our festival pass at any time via our website – easily, with new payment options and without registration! With the start of the regular festival programme on 06 May at 10.00am, the film you have booked will then be available to you for 48 hours from the first start. All information about the presale

And we have also thought of the cinemas: with the Soli-Ticket you support our partner cinemas with 1 Euro each. For every festival pass sold, 5 euros go to the cinemas.

The DOK.fest Studio at Deutsches Theater

A festival without a festival centre? Unthinkable! To bring the festival feeling home to you as much as possible this year, we invite you to the festive premises of the Deutsches Theater in Munich. At this venue we present film premieres in our "Cinema at its best" series during the presence festival. This year we have a diverse supporting programme up our sleeves for you: whether at our film talks or at the award ceremonies – we celebrate documentary film culture together with you and our guests from all over the world – live and online.

Our technology partner PANTAFLIX

This year you will also experience our digital festival centre in a completely new look. Together with our partner PANTAFLIX, we present our programme on the "digital screen" in an uncomplicated way and with best quality.

PANTAFLIX Technologies GmbH is a young company based in Berlin. It offers solutions for the distribution, streaming and sale of films. Several film festivals have already successfully run on the PANTAFLIX platform.
