S3D Campus offers soon a training combining practice and theory that will be thought by the best experts of the S3D production chain. Supported by the European MEDIA programme for 3 years, S3D Campus offers its participants an exceptional learning frame in terms of means and opportunities to build or reinforce your professional network.

From November 19 to 28, 2012, S3D Campus will offer an 8-day training program on Producing an S3D Film, from conception to screen. Divided into groups of 5 to 7 people, the participants will produce a S3D sequence and each one of them will be in charge of the stereography of a plan with challenges problematics to overcome. During practice workshops punctuated by educational breaks, the participants will be confronted to on-site problematics linked to S3D production. The plans are then edited and graded in 3D in order to produce a final sequence.

This concept will allow the participants to discover the different stages of a S3D production, but also to get more personal answers about S3D production. Thus, they will be able to gain the essential knowledge to conduct a S3D project.

Objectives of this training:

- How to integrate 3D narration basis and how to react when being confronted to its problematics (the team will think about the diversity of the technical and creative choices)

- Gain the indispensable notions to be able to start a constructive conversation with a 3D stereographer during the shooting and on all the production stages

- Try and use the different 3D tools from shooting to editing

Added to the pedagogical curriculum, this training offers an opportunity to develop a European professional network; therefore the days will be ending with a dinner, a networking meeting or a screening.

S3D Campus participants will be trained by 10 renowned professionals of S3D fields (stereographers, producers, post-producers). Last trainings welcomed among others the experimented stereographers Alain and Josephine Derobe, Bernard Mendiburu, Eric Deren…

Produce 3D sequences, from conception to screen takes into account all the production stages, weither being technical, economical or creative. Welcoming international participants from different background (trainers and trainees), S3D Campus promotes an exchange of ideas and talents. Via this process, S3D Campus is actively involved in the development of a European network.

This training program is sponsored by the European Union's MEDIA program; it will gather some fifteen participants, selection based on their resume and cover letter. Applications must be sent to the organizers before October 20th 2012. Scholarships will also be available, covering the training fees, travel and accommodation.
