Workshop on 3D movie making at the "Festival de Cannes" on 16 May!Workshop on 3D movie making at the "Festival de Cannes" on 16 May!3D Stereo MEDIA and XpanD are joining forces to sponsor and organize a workshop entitled "3D movie making: from script to business", under the auspices of the International 3D Society (I3DS): its President, Jim Chabin, will be the host. The workshop is designed to provide straight-to-the-point information on how to get started in stereoscopic 3D (S-3D), win awards, and, for those interested... make money in the process... This workshop is expected to be the main gathering point and highlight on S-3D in Cannes this year! S-3D enthusiasts from all over the world owe it to themselves to attend! The workshop will also be the opportunity for us to launch our International 3D Festival and our co-production 3D Film Mart. The corresponding Call for Movies and Call for Projects will be made available on that day. 15h00-16h40: Workshop 3 pm: Welcome! Ami Dror (Chief Strategy Officer, XPAND 3D, USA), Jacques Verly (Founder, 3D Stereo MEDIA; President, I3DS-Europe Committee; Professor, Univ. of Liège, Belgium) 3.00-3.15 pm: "The World of 3D Today and Tomorrow" A review of 3D contents (theatrical, TV, advertising) made this past year in China, Russia, Korea, London, the U.K., France, Germany, Brazil, Australia, and the U.S. Plus, a preview of the most anticipated 3D movies coming from filmmakers worldwide. Speaker: Jim Chabin (President, International 3D Society, USA) 3.15-3.55 pm: "3D Content Creation Today" 3D filmmakers planning a production must make critical decisions throughout the process of shooting in 3D. From team and equipment selection, to financing and distribution, 3D content creators have more choices than ever before. Meet people who make these decisions regularly and find out what approaches are working best today. Seating is limited and pre-registration is required. There is no fee for attending, but proper Festival accreditation is required to enter the Festival grounds. Once we have reached the maximum seating capacity of the Pavilion, we will close the registration. We will accept walk-ins if seats are still available.
