CELEBRATING SPANISH CINEMA

We extend our sincerest gratitude to Spain, our 2023 Country of Honour, and our partners Cinema from Spain, ICEX, and ICAA. Their invaluable contributions to our key industry programs and events were deeply valued. We were delighted and impressed by the plethora of talented individuals, film projects, business opportunities, and initiatives that Spain brought to the international film community, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming them back to Cannes in the near future.

7 DOCS GRANTED AWARDS FROM OUR PARTNERS

Congratulations to the Docs-in-Progress Award winners! These awards recognize the most promising documentaries in late stages of production and the talented teams behind them. Special thanks to our jury Karim Aitouna, Fernanda Lomba and Angeliki Vergou and our wonderful Award partners: IEFTA, Al Jazeera Documentary, Hiventy, Alphapanda, Think-Film Impact Production, DAE and Docs in Orbit.

Cannes Makers

A NEW GENERATION OF INTERNATIONAL SALES

The brand new program dedicated to young aspiring industry leaders ended today! Over three days, our eleven participants were able to meet industry experts through activities such as masterclasses, guided tours, lunches and conversations! The Cannes Makers program was made possible, thanks to the support of Creative Europe Media and our partners Red Sea International Film Festival, Red Sea Labs, Europa International, Initiative Film and ADEF.

Spot the Composer

CREATING PERFECT HARMONY IN CANNES

Composers were back in Cannes this year! From 20 to 21 May, ten international composers were chosen to participate in one-on-one meetings, specially designed to match them up with film projects and create harmonious collaborations. Thank you to all the Marché participants who came to meet them! Spot the Composer was organized in partnership with SACEM, and in collaboration with DISCO.

SHANGHAI FESTIVAL

 SIFF is back!

We are delighted to announce that our longstanding partner Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) will be returning to an in-person event for their 25th edition, which will take place from 9 to 18 June this year. We extend our warmest wishes to them on their anniversary and eagerly anticipate their return to Cannes very soon!
