Summer Hill Films LLC, a U.S. distributor and international sales and licensing company, has announced the DVD and VOD release of an award-winning beautiful drama, ‘Stay.’ ‘Stay’ tells the tale of a man who gets a second shot at life from someone he least expected.

After losing his job, a recovering addict, in Tokyo, struggles to survive and meets a free-spirited woman who changes his world but cannot stay in his life.

‘Stay’ is written and directed by Darryl Wharton-Rigby, known for his seminal debut feature film ‘Detention.’ Wharton-Rigby is the second African-American to make a feature film in Japan.

The film stars Shogen, known for ‘Okinawan Blue,’ ‘Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist,’ ‘Death Note,’ and ‘Bloody Snake Under the Sun.’ Making her film debut is Ana Tanaka, known for ‘Infamous Six’; Shima Ohnishi, known for ‘The Chrysanthemum and the Guillotine’ and ‘Blade of the Immortal’; Natsuhi Ueno, known for ‘Intern!,’ ‘Space Battleship Yamato,’ and ‘The Intermission.’

‘Stay’ is a wonderful film that displays the good, bad, and bittersweet discoveries you make with someone you love.

“‘Stay’ is a film that makes you hold on to encounters with the people you love.” says Summer Hill Films President, Ted Chalmers.

“This movie is love story with heart. It shows the power of a man overcoming obstacles when he finds hope. The film also shows Tokyo in a real and naturalistic way.” says Darryl Wharton-Rigby.

‘Stay’ is now available in North America on VOD from Amazon, Youtube Movies, Microsoft Movies, GooglePlay, and Vudu. It will also be available on Amazon UK and internationally licensed through Summer Hill Entertainment which attends all the major film sales markets including EFM, Marché du Film, AFM and Hong Kong Filmart!
