GFM ANIMATION LAUNCHES WORLDWIDE SALES ON ANIMATED ADVENTURE

‘OZI VOICE OF THE FOREST’

From the Cannes Film Market, GFM Animation has announced a new animated feature film to their slate, OZI VOICE OF THE FOREST.   

Featuring the voices of Amandla Stenberg, Laura Dern, Djimon Hounsou, Donald Sutherland and RuPaul Charles.  

This remarkable family feature film centers on Ozi, an adventurous orangutan who lives deep in the rainforest with her parents.   

Life is blissful until her rainforest is destroyed and Ozi finds herself separated and alone.  Rescued by a local sanctuary, Ozi slowly grows with confidence, learning to communicate not only with Robert and Kirani, who rescued her & teach her sign-language, but also with the outside world via social media.  Learning that her parents may still be alive, she sets out to find them and on the way learns firsthand just how much devastation is being caused by deforestation.  Determined to get the word out there, she uses her online following to tell the world exactly what is happening. 

This is a movie full of hope, encouraging a new generation to speak out and use their voices to protect our precious world.   

Ozi Voice of the Forest will receive its market premier in Cannes, following a London screening on the 11^th May  The film has also been selected to screen at the Annecy International Animation Festival in June. 

Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson, Phillip Watson, of Appian Way along with Mike Medavoy, Rodrigo Blaas, Keith Chapman, Adam Stanhope and Graham Appleby produce, with production companies Appian Way and GCI Film.  CG Imagery and animation is by Mikros Animation. 

Title song for the movie is by Diane Warren. 

The film is supporting 3 major charities who support Orangutan rehabilitation.
