The Jury of the  Prix de la Citoyenneté, presided by Maria de Medeiros and composed by Philippe Faucon, Rachid Hami, Inna Modja et Sophie Torlotin give the price to :

Spécial mention :

JEUNESSE (Youth) from the chinese director  Wang Bing

Jury statement:

“Many films could claim the citizenship prize addressing the themes of humanism, universalism and secularism. 

We would like to award a special mention to Wang Bing's documentary "Youth" by Wang Bing for its courage, its uncompromising gesture and its insight into an invisibility and sacrificed Chinese youth. 

We are awarding the Citizenship Prize to the film Les filles d'Olfa by Kaouther Ben Hania, which allows us to understand the reproduction of violence across generations. The chosen device allows the release of a stifled word and opens the possibility of a reading of the world.

The winner of the 5th Prix de la Citoyenneté has been revealed This prize celebrates the involvement of a director and a screenwriter in favor of citizen and civic values. Given to a film in the Official Selection, its purpose is to distinguish a work of first-rate artistic quality that exalts the human virtues, solidarity, equality as well as the smartest and the fairest way to inhabit the planet. With the Jury and the Winner.
