100 films from 30 countries line up for the New Delhi Film Festival


9 categories of awards announced on Sunday for NDFF 2022



NDFF 2022 – 5th edition of NEW DELHI FILM FESTIVAL is going to kick off.  A list of nominated and awarded films for the festival is declared on Sunday. It’s mentionable that films aren’t going to be screened in the festival, but only nominated and awarded films are declared.


Under a variety of categories – 16 films for feature fiction category, 18 films for documentary feature fiction category, 33 films for short fiction category, 13 films for the short documentary category, 12 films for short animation category, and 4 films for web series category, 3 films for mobile film category, and 5 films for student films category are nominated.


26 films from India and 74 films from foreign countries are nominated. Out of a total of received 607 films from 40 countries, 100 films from 30 countries are nominated.

Under Feature Fiction Film category– Jayraj R directed Malayalam film ‘Tree: Full of Parrot’s, ‘Scumbag’ from Slovakia and Marthai film ‘Palyad (The Other Side)’ directed by Shailesh Bhimrao Dupare from India


Under Documentary Feature Fiction Film category –Turkish film ‘Sadan Hanim’ by Gokel Gulensoy, Anne Morin directed French film ‘Child’s Play’, and German film ‘Winners of Life’


Under Short Fiction Film category – ‘Command And I Shall Obey’ directed by  Neeru Khera from India, Penny Moore directed Australian film Trust Frank and  Christiane Hitzemann directed German film The Nestling.


Under Documentary Short Film category – Belgium film ‘Eden’, U.S.A. film ‘The Third Harmony: Nonviolence and the New Story of Human Nature’ and ‘Tattooed Trucks of Nepal- Horn Please’.


Under Short Animation Film category – Pablo G. Herrero directed Spanish film ‘Encased’, Vivekananda Roy Ghatak directed Hindi film De – De and Jonathan Chong’s directed Australian film ‘Goodbye Home’.


Under Mobile Short Fiction Film category – ‘Lights’ by Prakash Gandhi Natarajan, ‘Bheeti’ by Vidhan Sharma, and French film ‘Garden Party’ by Didier Mullers.

Under Web Series category – Chinese film ‘First Love’, Spanish film ‘Ni Naiz Naizena'  and U.S.A. film ‘Growing up Guide’,


Under  FAIRER & FEARLESS DELHI category – Special jury mention award for Kalliope’s From Fear to Freedom from USA.


Under Student Film category -Australian film ‘Lover Boy’,  Indian film Bat Ball’, and American film ‘The City He Forgets’
