The nominees for the Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize 2023 are revealed!

Five Nordic drama series are nominated for the NOK 200,000 (€20,000) Nordic drama series screenwriting award, presented at Göteborg Film Festival´s TV Drama Vision.

For the seventh consecutive year, the Nordisk Film & TV Fond funded award for outstanding writing of a Nordic drama series will be presented during TV Drama Vision, Göteborg Film Festival’s conference event and series market. Five drama series from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden have been nominated for the prize, which will be awarded to the main writer.

The winner(s) will be announced at an award ceremony on the evening of February 1, 2023.

The 2022 winners of the Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize were writers Gísli Örn Gardarsson, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson and Mikael Torfason for the Icelandic TV Drama Blackport (Verbúðin).

And which, after years of repression, is brought back to life, interfering with the lives they now lead. The series is based on Kerstin Ekman’s award-winning novel Blackwater (Händelser Vid Vatten).

In spite of many obstacles, debts and the locals who think he is crazy, he and Birthe manage to create an international success.

Kids in Crime is an unusual coming-of-age series, set in the year 2001. The series is about the three teens, Tommy, Pål and Monica, who get into trouble after incurring a large debt to the local drug lord Freddy Hell. In the midst of this chaos, they move into a house, to party and use as much drugs as possible. But all parties come to an end, and this particular end could be bloody.
